White faux leather jackets – a quick guide

March 22, 2015 by Jean-Marc Chateigner Leave a Comment

If you would like to spoil yourself and buy a white faux leather jacket, then, I recommend that you follow this guide carefully because in it, I’m going to show you the most important tips and advice to always have the best choices and to choose the best jackets for you.

And although choosing a white faux leather jacket may seem like an easy task, it’s not, and it requires a lot of thinking and a lot of knowledge about the fabric and the materials you are dealing with.

The first thing you need to understand is that you are dealing with faux leather! It doesn’t increase in size/stretch very quickly and it can be very difficult in terms of comfort and also in terms of durability.

I’m not saying here that all white faux leather jackets are terrible choices and are bad for you, what I’m saying is that most of the cheap ones are very weak in terms of comfort and also in terms of durability, that’s why you need to be careful about choosing only the best white faux leather jacket for you.

This means that you need to be very careful when it comes to the size you are going to choose.

For example, if you are a medium size person, don’t choose a medium size white faux leather jacket, always choose at least one size above your own, and in my opinion, if you choose two sizes above, it will be much more comfortable for you and the durability will increase tremendously.

It’s because faux leather does not have a very great elastic property as real leather, however, if you have this idea in mind, and if you choose two sizes above, you will always have a perfect durability and comfort as well.

The next thing I would like to talk about is the lining.

And here, I’m talking about the inside lining. If you choose a cheap brand, you will definitely have a very cheap lining inside, which will mean discomfort and also a terrible sensation as well.

My advice is to avoid cheap brands as much as possible, and yes, there are so many affordable ones which offers amazing white faux leather jackets’ qualities, so, why go cheap?!

Let’s talk now about a very important thing when it comes to faux leather jackets: the smell!

I used to wear real leather a lot when I was young, from leather pants to even leather socks! And the only thing I hated was the terrible smell, it was horrible, and they smelled like death!

However, when I became vegan and I started only wearing faux leather in my clothing instead of real leather, I faced another terrible smell, a chemical one!

And yes, you will have a horrible chemical smell the first few days, but let me assure you that it disappears very quickly and an amazing solution to this terrible smell is to wipe your white faux leather jacket with a few drops of white vinegar, it gets rid of the smell very quickly as well.
