White faux leather futons – things to avoid!

February 4, 2015 by Jean-Marc Chateigner Leave a Comment

White faux leather futons can be an amazing source of joy and comfort in your home, especially after a difficult and tiring day at work. At least that’s my experience at home, I enjoy just looking at them and spending quality time with my family sitting and relaxing on top of them, however, if you don’t take good care, they can become a huge source of stress, and this is what I’m going to talk about in this post, how to care and maintain your white faux leather futons in a perfect condition for a very long time.

The first thing to do is to always arm yourself with vinegar and a piece of paper tissue.

You have to use a good conditioner to prevent your faux leather objects from cracking and losing their texture. Click HERE now to try the best!

This is extremely useful when you are dealing with stains, and trust me, white faux leather futons are going to cause you lots of headaches when it comes to stains, they are very “attractive” to the dirt and easily stained, which is terrible if you ask me.

Give your items luster and durability using this powerful faux leather cleaner: Click here!

That’s why you need to be very quick when accidents happen, for example, if you are drinking coffee and you spill some on them, the first thing you need to do is to react quickly, go get some few drops of vinegar, a glass of water and plenty of paper tissues, then, start wiping gently while adding some few drops of vinegar, it will get rid of the stains very quickly.

And even if you are a little lazy, just like me, and you don’t react quickly enough, you can always apply pure vinegar without mixing it with water and wipe your white leather futon gently.

However, the thing you need to avoid at all costs, all the time, ever, is using alcohol.

If you think that using some few drops of an alcoholic beverage to get rid of some stains in your white futon is going to help you, then you are completely mistaken, because this is a terrible mistake to commit as most manufacturers are going to use alcohol sensitive coloring agents!

And when you start cleaning your white faux leather futon with alcohol, the color is going to fade away and it will look horrible forever!

What about the smell?

When you buy a new white faux leather futon, the first thing you are going to experience is the terrible smell; it’s a little organic, chemical, and metallic as well.

For all your leather and faux leather items, I highly recommend Saddle soap. Click here to try it!

And if you would like to get rid of it, there aren’t many things to do, the only thing you have is to open your windows as much as possible and let it disappear slowly, and if you are in a hurry, why not apply some white vinegar with a paper tissue, as shown before, it will get rid of the smell as well.
