Short faux leather jackets – how to select and maintain

January 6, 2015 by Jean-Marc Chateigner Leave a Comment

Whenever I write a post in this website, you need to understand that I put all my experience when it comes to faux leather and upholstery, and today, I would like to talk about short faux leather jackets, how to select them and most importantly how to maintain them in perfect condition.

The first criterion in order to select the best short faux leather jacket for you is to respect the size.

For all your faux leather maintenance, I highly recommend saddle soap. Click here to get it!

Most people, especially women, who bought short faux leather jackets, always complain about the size and the fact that it does not fit!

And this is absolutely true, you must understand that what you see in pictures and magazines, models wearing short faux leather jackets to perfection, is just advertisements, the reality is completely different, the first thing you must understand is that faux leather is very difficult to become elastic and take shapes after it has been made and designed, this means that even when you buy a short faux leather jacket and you may think that with time, it’s going to increase in size and fit you, it will not, or it will just increase by some few millimeters and that’s it!

This is the reality when it comes to short for leather jackets, you must always buy at least two sizes above your own!

Give your items luster and durability using this powerful faux leather cleaner: Click here!

If you do not apply this important tip, you will regret it! Trust me, I’ve seen people who wore XL buy an XXL short faux leather jacket only to be disappointed by it not fitting and thinking that such a clothing item must have been made for children instead of adults!

Just do what I say, always select at least two sizes above your own, and if you are a big person, avoid short faux leather jackets altogether!

I’m sorry to say this, but this is truly what is going to happen every single time if you are a big person: it will never fit you!

The second thing you need to understand when selecting a short faux leather jacket is related to the price.

To begin with, if you are paying a lot of money for your short faux leather jacket, then it’s not worth it!

Unless it’s a designer jacket, most are made with shoots and other useless pieces of faux leather that were probably used for upholstery making!

This means that they are very cheap to produce, and should never cost more than fourteen dollars, at least, for the affordable and less known brands.

Let me now tell you about how to maintain your short faux leather jacket.

Don't forget to use this faux leather conditioner once every 6 months, it will keep your faux leather objects like new: Click here!

It’s quite easy, you just need to apply some saddle soap from time to time, preferably once every six months if you don’t wear it often, and if you can find it, use a quality leather conditioner, it’s amazing and it will keep it always looking new and stylish.
