Men’s faux leather coats – common mistakes!

July 26, 2015 by Jean-Marc Chateigner Leave a Comment

If you avoid these mistakes when looking and when selecting men’s faux leather coats, you will have no issues maintaining and getting them to last you a very long time.

I have two faux leather coats at home, and I simply adore them, I enjoy wearing them every single day especially when it’s cold and my wife finds them to be very attractive and sexy as well, plus, they look like the real deal, they look exactly like real leather coats!

Use this amazing conditioner to prevent cracking and to also maintain your faux leather objects in great condition. Click HERE now!

My secret is quite simple: when I was looking for the best coats, I had these common mistakes most people do in mind:

Number one: getting your exact size!

You must understand that you are dealing with faux leather, it’s a very robust and tough material, and it can last you for ages, but only when it’s not stretched and under a lot of stress constantly!

This is what most people do not understand about this fabric, it’s the fact that when it’s stretched and under a lot of stress, it’s going to start cracking and even peeling, and soon, you will find yourself with a piece of trash!

What you can do is the following: whenever you are shopping for a man’s faux leather coat, try to buy one which is at least two sizes larger!

To clean faux leather perfectly, use saddle soap! Click here to try it!

This may look a bit ridiculous, but it’s very important for you to respect this advice because you need to remember that you are going to be wearing extra clothes underneath it and if you buy your exact same size, it will be under a lot of stress and a lot of stretching as well.

The second mistake I see people doing all the time is trying to go extra cheap!

Because people have this idea in their minds: that faux leather is cheaper, way cheaper than real leather, they think that they “must” get their faux leather coats for a much cheaper price, and unfortunately, most manufacturers are going to provide them with what they want, very cheap and low quality faux leather coats!

This means one thing: the fabric, stitches and sewing quality is going to be terrible and after just some few months of use, their coats are going to start peeling and cracking tremendously.

My advice is to never go very cheap when buying something you like and something you would like to keep for a long time, this is extremely important to respect especially when you are dealing with such trendy and finalized items as men’s faux leather coats.

The next thing I would like to talk about is how to keep your coat in perfect conditions.

I personally use saddle soap all the time, and although most people think that such a product is only suitable for shoes and gloves, real leather ones, I use it with my faux leather coats and it works amazingly well, I just use a small amount.
