I’ve spent more than twenty-five years of my life making and caring for faux leather objects and upholstery items and I know what I’m talking about when it comes to this fabric, and today, I would like to talk about one of the many brands of vinyl fabrics, it’s called Marine vinyl and if you are working with faux leather or trying to buy one, I’m sure you are going to encounter this brand a lot.
From my experience, Marine vinyl is a good brand, however, only when it comes to some colors!
This is the reason why I’m writing this post today, to tell you about the colors where Marine vinyl did good!
As mentioned in many of my posts, the color used in making faux leather fabrics also influences the molecular structure and the way the fabric is going to resist the elements, such as UV rays and humidity, and also the way it’s going to act, meaning its flexibility and texture.
And when it comes to Marine vinyl, here are the colors that are great:
- Snow Brite White Fabric
- Navy Fabric
- Smoke Grey Fabric
- Gold Fabric
- Yellow Fabric
I’m not saying that the other colors are terrible, but from my experience, I’ve already tried working with the Turquoise and Silver Fabric, they disappointed me a little, not because the fabric was terrible in terms of quantity, but because of the color! For example, when I buy yellow, I would like to get yellow!
But with the other colors, when I bought them, they didn’t match the color I was looking for!

Don’t take my words for granted, you can try for yourself, but from my experience, the colors mentioned above are the best when it comes to Marine vinyl fabric.
