The best place to buy lightweight faux leather fabric?

September 21, 2015 by Jean-Marc Chateigner 2 Comments

I have been working with faux leather for a very long time of my life, and I know what it means to want to use lightweight faux leather fabrics!

It’s because most faux leather fabrics sold nowadays are thick, heavy, and somehow uncomfortable, and that’s why I’m going to show you in this post where you can buy the best quality lightweight faux leather fabrics, they are also very affordable.

You have to use a good conditioner to prevent your faux leather objects from cracking and losing their texture. Click HERE now to try the best!

Is there a difference between lightweight and thick faux leather fabric?

Yes, there is! When you buy lightweight faux leather fabric, it means that it will not be as resistant and as superior in quality as the thick one!

However, the brand and the store I’m going to show you in this post has an amazing quality lightweight faux leather fabric which is also extremely resistant and superior in quality, it’s because it has one very important characteristic: it’s cotton backed!

Give your items luster and durability using this powerful faux leather cleaner: Click here!

And this is by far the most important criteria you need to look for whenever you are shopping for lightweight faux leather fabric, it’s because faux leather is made out of petroleum compounds and chemicals, mainly plastic derivatives, and this makes it very sensitive to UV rays, wear and tear, and even humidity!

Then, if the fabric is not backed by a natural fiber, cotton in this case, it’s not going to be highly flexible and resistant to these elements, and soon, it may even start cracking and losing its shine and look.

That’s why one of the best things you can do in order to ensure that you get only the best quality lightweight faux leather fabrics is to always look for cotton backed ones.

Then, what is the best brand of lightweight faux leather fabric?

From my experience, the best one is Murano Home Furnishing.

And the best place you can buy it is the internet. Trust me, if you are only buying from this brand, you can be 100% sure that you are going to get the most lightweight faux leather fabrics with the highest quality and the lowest prices as well.

Don't forget to use this faux leather conditioner once every 6 months, it will keep your faux leather objects like new: Click here!

In fact, it’s one of my most favorite name brands to work with, their fabrics are amazing in terms of color match and also in terms of strength and resistance, and let me remind you that I work as a faux leather artisan, I use this fabric all the time and I know which one is good and which one is going to cause troubles.

I am looking for a very lightweight faux leather fabric to cover an antique radio. it is a Thorola Islodyne 50 you can see online with a Google search

It is to cover a wood cabinet as the original manufacturer did in 1925. It needs to not bunch up much in the corners. It should be brown or some shade of brown.

Hello Mike, you should try Plastex International, they’re based in New Jersey, but you can order their fabric at Amazon, I personally trust their quality and have worked with their fabric before, so you should see their selection and choose the fabric that best matches your specifications.
