A user sent me this question some weeks ago, she wanted to know whether faux leather was real leather or not.
And this is what I’m going to answer in this very small post: faux leather is in not real leather!
If you are asking yourself whether faux leather is real leather, the one that come from cow hides and other animal skins, then, let me tell you that it’s not, faux leather is not “natural”, in other words, it doesn’t come from animal skins, it’s made industrially, in other words, manufacturers use petroleum derivatives, plastic and other chemicals to make it, they mix them together with the right temperature and the right pressure, and they produce faux leather.
In conclusion, faux leather is not real leather.
