A reader asked me recently this question: how do you harden faux leather fabrics? He was interested in making a science project and he didn’t know how to do it.
So, my answer is very simple, it depends on the material, but usually to harden faux leather fabrics, you must use a special resin that is not really available to most people, it is only available to manufacturers.

I’m sorry to say this, but it is quite impossible to harden faux leather at home because the resin used is highly toxic and is also very difficult to use.
And as far as real leather is concerned, you can condition it using a wet ingredient and then shape it or model it, but when it comes to faux leather, this is totally out of the question because faux leather does not have the same chemical components as real leather.
You may know someone who can provide you with special chemicals to harden faux leather fabrics, but I highly advise you to not do it as it can be very dangerous for your health.
