Let’s talk about how to keep a faux leather ottoman storage bench looking amazing, even though it may be many years old!
At home, I have a fantastic faux leather storage ottoman, I love it a lot, and it’s an essential furniture in my bedroom, in fact, my wife stores everything that she doesn’t need on a daily basis, and whenever we have something missing, we always go to it to find it there!
It’s many years old, but it look like new, it’s amazing and it has a fantastic shine and texture as well, and this is what I’m going to show you in this post, how to keep it looking amazing even after many years of use.
The first technique is related to using the right products.
Whenever people are dealing with faux leather, the first thing they will think about is that it’s very difficult to maintain in a good condition, because it’s going to crack and peel very quickly, but I’m going to show you a fantastic and simple way in order to make it look great, and it consists of using a fantastic product that’s very affordable and also very easy to use.
This product is wax!

Not any wax! Here, I’m talking about the one found in faux leather conditioners, it’s very easy to use because you just need to apply some few drops and wipe the surface of your faux leather storage ottoman bench gently, it will make it look amazing.
How much wax do you need to apply?
To answer this question, you must first understand how big it is, if you are dealing with a small faux leather storage ottoman, just one or two tablespoons are more than enough, but if you are dealing with a large one, more than three tablespoons may be necessary.
The second thing you need to understand is related to how you wipe.
Although most people are going to advise you to use paper towels, I don’t recommend this, because most of them contain bleach and other products that are designed to clean and get rid of parasites and bacteria, and most importantly, they contain some harmful agents to faux leather fabrics, I don’t want you to expose your faux leather storage ottoman to such chemicals, that’s why the only thing you need to use is a dry clean cloth.
When should you use these techniques?
At least once every six months, and if you have the time and energy, every three, it’s much more beneficial.
