Faux leather shorts – avoid these!

April 25, 2015 by Jean-Marc Chateigner Leave a Comment

When you are dealing with faux leather shorts, choosing and cleaning them, you need to avoid the things I’m going to talk to you about in this post.

I’ve been working with faux leather for the last twenty-five years of my life, and I know from experience that it’s one of the toughest and the most durable materials you can use, however, if you expose it to the things I’m going to talk about in this post, it’s not going to stay durable and healthy for long time and it will soon start deteriorating, peeling and cracking very quickly.

Use this amazing conditioner to prevent cracking and to also maintain your faux leather objects in great condition. Click HERE now!

The first thing you need to understand when you are dealing with faux leather shorts is that size does matter!

I know that most women, and some men, when they shop for faux leather shorts, they would like to have the sexiest and most attractive ones, that’s why they will always buy ones which are their same exact size!

Well, if you do this, you will regret it soon!

First, because most faux leather shorts are made with shoots, in other words, left over pieces of faux leather fabrics that were previously used to make upholstery or other clothing items, and this is why most faux leather shorts are going to have a very short lifespan!

When you buy faux leather shorts that are your exact same size, they are going to start stretching, and this is going to cause the sewing to start stressing and soon, cracks and tears are going to happen!

My advice is to always choose faux leather shorts that are at least two sizes above your own, and if you cannot live with this, you should not own faux leather shorts, instead, you should invest in some high quality ones, the ones that are made with tough and highly durable faux leather fabrics.

The next thing you need to avoid as much as possible are thin shorts.

As mentioned before, faux leather shorts are susceptible to wear and tear, and they are also exposed to stress all the time, and needless to tell you about the heat and the humidity levels, that’s why, if you do not respect this advice, getting quality ones, they are going to start peeling and looking horrible very quickly.

My advice is to always check the thickness of the faux leather fabric, if it’s very thin; you need to avoid it as much as possible.

Another very important thing to focus on is the double layering.

In other words, you should have faux leather in the inside and in the outside as well, this will add protection and also strengthen your faux leather fabric which is going to make your faux leather shorts last you a very long time and keep always looking good even when stretched and “tortured”.
