Faux leather reclining sofa – keep it away from these!

September 16, 2015 by Jean-Marc Chateigner Leave a Comment

It’s both a joy and a complete comfort to have a faux leather reclining sofa at home; however, some things you have inside your house are extremely dangerous for its framing, faux leather fabric and dye as well!

And this is what I’m going to talk about in this post, what things are very dangerous for your faux leather reclining sofa, and what you need to keep it away from.

You have to use a good conditioner to prevent your faux leather objects from cracking and losing their texture. Click HERE now to try the best!

The first of these elements is sunlight!

If you have your faux leather reclining sofa in a very sunny room, you need put covers as quickly as possible.

You have to understand that the worst enemy of faux leather is sunlight, it’s very dangerous because it’s going to change the molecular structure of this fabric, after all, faux leather is a derivative of petroleum, more precisely, of plastic, and UV rays, found in sunlight, are very dangerous because they are going to weaken it and also deteriorate and keep it very weak and soon, it’s going to start peeling and cracking.

In my opinion, the best thing you can do is to invest in faux leather sofa covers, they are extremely inexpensive, and they will keep your faux leather reclining sofa looking great and protected from the elements inside your house.

The second thing to keep your faux leather reclining sofa away from is animals.

Give your items luster and durability using this powerful faux leather cleaner: Click here!

Faux leather has a very distinctive smell, and although it tends to fade with time, when it comes to cats and dogs, they love it and they find it extremely appealing, so, your cat for example is going to try to scratch it in order to mark its territory, and needless to tell you that this is very dangerous and it’s also going to cause so much damages to the fabric!

And when it comes to dogs, they love to chew on it sometimes, this is not only very dangerous for your faux leather reclining sofa, but for your dog as well because let’s face it, faux leather contains chemicals that may not be very healthy for your animal!

Again, my advice is to buy a faux leather sofa cover, it’s very important and it’s going to protect it against animal attacks very efficiently.

The third thing you need to keep your faux leather reclining sofa away from is every drink possible.

And here, I’m talking about beverages, especially those containing alcohol!

Sugar is very dangerous for your faux leather fabric because it’s going to stick to it and destroy the color!

For all your leather and faux leather items, I highly recommend Saddle soap. Click here to try it!

So, try to be careful when you are enjoying a drink on your faux leather reclining sofa, and if, God forbid, accidents happen, the first thing you need to do is to take a dry piece of cloth and wipe gently, then, take another piece of dry cloth with some warm water and wipe again until you get rid of the stain, and when you are done, please, always use a faux leather conditioner, it’s very important to keep your faux leather reclining sofa in an excellent shape.
