The first advice I can give you when it comes to cleaning your faux leather ottomans is to use vinegar.
My mother gave me this advice when I was young, she told me that vinegar, white vinegar, is one of the best ingredients to use not only to clean leather products, but everything else in the house.
What is amazing about white vinegar is that it’s going to get rid of bad smells, even those chemical ones found in faux leather ottomans, especially in newly bought ones, and most importantly, white vinegar is going to get rid of stains, even the most difficult ones.
And I highly recommend that you always have a piece of dry cloth and white vinegar at home because with faux leather ottomans, you will definitely need them as they are all the time exposed to stains and dirt.

The second thing to do if you ever face stains or dirt is to apply just some few drops of warm water.
Warm water is excellent when it comes to cleaning faux leather, it’s because faux leather is made with plastic compounds, in other words, cleaning faux leather is like cleaning plastic, it hates water and this makes it clean and stain free very easily.
Just apply some few drops of warm water to your faux leather ottomans and use a dry cloth or sponge, wipe very gently and after just some few seconds, the stains are going to go away.
What about faux leather cleaning products?
Of course, if you can afford a good faux leather cleaning product, after all, it’s very affordable, less than six dollars, then you should go for it, and it should always be your first choice.
Whenever you have a stain on your faux leather ottomans, the first thing to do is to take a dry sponge, apply some few drops of your favorite faux leather cleaning product and wipe gently.
However, you should understand that for every type of furniture color, there is a certain type of faux leather cleaning product, and don’t try to mix cleaning products, you may make your stains permanent, and if you are afraid or don’t want to take any risks with your faux leather ottomans, just stick to the first two advise I’ve given you.
