I enjoy using my faux leather coffee table at home, especially when I’m with my youngest daughter, she serves me my favorite drink, English tea, and we have so much fun, but sometimes, things get messy and I may spill something on my coffee table!
Yes, I am the kid in the family!
Anyway, in this post, I’m going to share with you some amazing and very easy techniques in order to clean your faux leather coffee table very easily.
The first one consists of using oil!
And although I usually advise people to use a good faux leather cleaner, sometimes, you just don’t have it nearby, and the only thing you might have is some vegetable oil!
The first step to do is to take a dry cloth and wipe the stain gently in order to get rid of as much as possible.
When you are done, look for an oil in your kitchen that doesn’t smell, don’t use olive oil and other oils like corn or soy, canola is perfect.
But please, don’t use a lot, just one or two drops max!
Wipe gently and for a short time, don’t do it a lot because you may hurt your faux leather fabric.
In fact, the oil is not very important to your faux leather coffee-table, however, it plays a protective role because it’s going to lubricate the surface and prevent it from scratching.
The second technique to clean a faux leather coffee table is to use plain water.
But here, don’t use cold or very hot water, just use warm water, it’s more than enough, and it’s going to get the job done very quickly as well.
But you must act very quickly, in other words, if you leave stains on your coffee table, they will certainly become permanent because they will get absorbed by the faux leather fabric in your table.
Take a dry cloth, wipe gently as mentioned before, then use just some few drops of warm water.
Wipe gently again.
This is very effective as well and it will get rid of most difficult stains and dirt in your faux leather coffee table.
