Faux leather bar stools – how to clean

October 20, 2015 by Jean-Marc Chateigner Leave a Comment

When dealing with faux leather barstools, there aren’t many techniques to take good care of and clean them, apart from the ones I’m going to share with you in this post, if you try anything else, you will just damage them!

It’s because most faux leather barstools are made with very thin faux leather fabrics, this is because this kind of fabric is going to give much more comfort and is also very lightweight, and let me tell you that faux leather barstools must be lightweight, it’s because the framing is usually made with metal or hard wood, and it’s heavy, that’s why most manufacturers are going to try to lighten the weight by using lightweight faux leather fabrics!

To best clean faux leahter upholstery, only use DC22 Upholstery Cleaner. Click here to try it!

I have nothing against this, but it’s not very resistant to scratches, cracks, and pressure, and this is what I would like to deal with in this post, by cleaning them properly, you will prevent all these from happening to it.

Then, how to clean faux leather barstools properly?

It’s quite easy to understand, you have the choice of either using homemade techniques and products or a professional one.

As an owner of a faux leather shop, I use a professional product that’s made by a brand called: Blue Magic, it’s very effective, lasts for a long time and most importantly, it’s very affordable.

However, if you have faux leather barstools at home, you can use this homemade technique to get amazing results as well:

First, wipe using a dry paper towel, then, use a few drops of baby oil with a dry sponge and wipe very gently as well, of course, your faux leather barstools must be put near an open window or door in order to let the air flow dry them completely.

For all your leather and faux leather items, I highly recommend Saddle soap. Click here to try it!

This technique is amazing when it comes to getting rid of stains, dirt, and dust particles that are very resistant and stuck to the faux leather fabric.
